The Magpul MBUS Gen 2 front sight is a folding back-up sight made from color-injection-molded polymer. It is adjustable for elevation and fits most 1913 Picatinny-railed handguards, with a configuration tailored to the AR-15/M16 platform.

The spring-loaded sight can be raised from either side or by pressing the top release. Protective wings shield the spring-locking A2 front sight post, and the sight provides the same height over bore as standard A2 sights.
